In efforts to safeguard the health of all members of our community, especially those who are most vulnerable and high risk, and to prevent any unintentional spread of the coronavirus, we will be worshiping in a hybrid format (in-person and virtual) starting May 16. To find most up to date information for online worship access, please click on this link.
We hope to be able to join together in person again soon, and when we do our typical Sunday morning looks like this:
Each Sunday we seek to provide a meaningful time of connection with God and one another through these worship opportunities:
8:50 a.m.: A 10 minute celebration of Holy Communion in the chapel that we hope helps you start your week centered in God's love. (Currently suspended due to Covid safety)
9:00 a.m.: Sunday School. The Harmony class is an active group that always engages in lively discussion. The Wesley-Beacon class, for older adults, enjoys Bible study and singing classic hymns.
10:30 a.m.: Worship in our sanctuary. This worship service is traditional in style (we sing hymns, pray the Lord’s Prayer, and are led by a choir under the direction of John Gill) and progressive in theology. At times we may be a little experimental with an interactive sermon or guest musicians. We will always be glad to see you whether you come early for snacks or sneak in late, whether you sit on the very back pew or the front, whether you are dressed casually or formally (our pastor may give bonus points to fun socks, but God loves us all the same). Ultimately, we hope that our worship service inspires you to love God and neighbor with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.
For parents with children: We love having you and your children in worship, including all the noises that come with that. We believe that children benefit from experiencing the rhythms of worship and we are thrilled to love and learn along with them. However, we also know that an hour is a long time to be in one place. We have activity kits that you can borrow and your kids will be invited to a children’s moment each Sunday. If anyone is feeling extra wiggly, we have rocking chairs in the back and an area with an infant play mat and a table of puzzles. We fully expect and appreciate noises and walking around as needed. We also have a nursery available each week if you would like to leave an infant with our nursery workers.
5:00 p.m.: Messy Church. This interactive and creative hour of worship in our chapel is specifically geared toward children and families. For more information visit our "Children and Youth" tab and like our Facebook page. (Currently suspended due to Covid safety)
See you Sunday!
