LUMC Columbarium
Since its dedication on May 3, 2015, the sacred space of our columbarium has become even more beautiful with landscaping and a lovely new tree. We have set aside this quiet corner of our property for “prayer, memory, community, and witness to the promise of resurrection.”
If you have already decided that the Lakewood UMC Columbarium is a part of your plan, now would be a wonderful time to make those arrangements. At this time, there are many, many spaces from which you may choose, and you will find the cost quite affordable. Each cubicle (the space behind one plaque) is equipped with four niches. You may choose to purchase one niche for a single individual, a companion niche (a side-by-side place for two individuals), or a family niche, which is the entire cubicle. Purchasing your niche now would also help the church to begin resolving the small negative balance currently in our columbarium fund, leading us to a positive balance to help with future maintenance of the columbarium space, as needed.
