Meet St. Francis House!
Anchored in Lakewood UMC in East Dallas, St. Francis is a women's Epworth House. They work with Lakewood UMC to be a loving and hospitable presence in the neighborhood. On Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. they host a meal for the community. As a modern monastic community, the house prays daily, fasts, and serves in ministry with others. The Residents of St. Francis House are...
Amber (left) is a first year seminarian, studying at Perkins School of Theology. A graduate of McNeese State University in SW Louisiana, she moved to Dallas in August of 2015 to pursue ordained ministry. When she isn’t singing broadway musicals off-key, she basks in orthodox liturgical practices.
Maria (center) is the resident Catholic, who enjoys infusing her many creative endeavors with a sense of spirit and service. After earning her Masters in Community Planning and Architecture, she moved to Dallas in 2012 to implement design as a tool of vision and action with the marginalized. Thanks to her food preserving and wilderness skills, the house will survive a zombie nuclear apocalypse.
Stefanie (right) is a cellist and former orchestra director currently in her last year at Perkins School of Theology. She is the Intern Pastor at Greenland Hills United Methodist Church and is pursuing ordination as an Elder in The United Methodist Church. She is the daughter of Han Solo and has a passion for intergalactic justice.

Bring a soup of your choice and join us in the Fellowship Hall after worship! We look forward to seeing you and to tasting everyone's creations!
